viśeṣa-darśinaḥ ātmabhāva-bhāvanāva-nivṛttiḥ
For one who distinguishes mind from consciousness, the enquiry into the True Self ends there
The search for your “Tue Self” is one of the driving forces in yoga. As you go deeper into your practice, some essential truths are revealed. Your practice may progress to the stage where through direct experience the distinction between pure consciousness and experiences dissolves the notion of individual self.
Consequently, for “the Seer”, the enquiry into the nature of the True Self vanishes along with any sense of “I”.
