na ca-eka citta-tantraṃ ced-vastu tad-apramāṇakaṃ tadā kiṃ-syāt
and this object does not depend for its existence on one mind, because if it did what would happen if it were not being perceived?
Here, Patanjali further explains yoga’s “world view”: the field of observation exists independently from the observer. As such, they are two separate entities. Therefore, objects are “real” and not created by your imagination; they are meant to be perceived by the mind.
