These three limbs are more internal when compared to the five previous ones
These three [dharana, dhyana, and samadhi] are more internal when compared to the five previous ones (pūrvebhyaḥ). Over time, and with practice, the first five limbs of yoga fall away, leaving only an a more subtle internal practice. No longer does the physical nature of the practice remain in the forefront. Instead, you shift towards a more inward practice.
