Yoga sutra 1.37
vītarāga viṣayam vā cittam
A state of peace can also be attained by meditating on a person or object free of passion
Here the focus is to meditate on an inspiring person or to visit a holy place and meditate. The mind is coloured by its objects. When it is supported by passionless objects, it can attain steadiness and balance as you become the object of your meditation or that holy place that you are in.
