Yoga sutra 1.21
tīvra-saṁvegānām-āsannaḥ
Self-realisation is near for those seekers whose dedication to practice is intense and sincere
The meaning of this sutra is clear; if you are intense and sincere with your practice, you will progress quickly. Two things are emphasised here; one is the intensity, conviction, determination of effort you put into the practice of yoga, and the second, is the sincerity and genuineness of effort you put into the practice. When your will power is focused success is promoted.
