bhava-pratyayo videha-prakṛti-layānām
Some people are naturally ‘immersed into themselves’, that is born with the capacity to attain the highest level of samadhi.
We do not all begin our journey on the spiritual path from the same point. From birth, some exceptional beings are gifted pure spirits and are responsible for showing others the way as the spiritual journey is an ongoing process.
In this sutra, Patanjali gives a warning to all of us: we must remain alert and aware no mater how far we are along the spiritual path, or else we can faulter or go astray on the journey.
