Yoga sutra 1.16
tatparaṁ puruṣa-khyāteḥ guṇa-vaitṛṣṇyam
Among the levels of detachment the highest is the absence of interest in the qualities of nature, owing to the realisation of Pure Consciousness
Patanjali’s whole effort is to put your allow your mind to find silence so that it no longer interferes.
The greatest treasure within yourself (khyāteḥ) is awaiting discovery. You can rise to the highest state of consciousness where former objects of desire have no interest. This is achieved by getting to know your true self, the dweller within (purusha). This is possible because all desires have arisen by not knowing yourself.
